Summer Heat

(Shirt - YLX, Pants - ZARA, Bag - ALDO, Heels - Betsyville, Sunnies - Rayban)

Prints, prints, and more prints... Something about the summer season makes us drawn towards bright patterns. I personally love abstract ones, or the ones that resembles a scenery or some sort of nature representation. But ofcourse it's a necessary to balance the intricate colors of the pants with the classic white shirt. Honestly though, haven't found the perfect crisp white shirt yet that fits my body type.. there's always a need to do alternation.. Maybe one day... I can finally meet THE ONE! But until then... let's indulge in white bags and accessories as white on white is currently on trend, but be careful not to spill your gelato, or anything in this case.. Yikes.

Strokes and Hues

(Top - CATHERINE.SOEPADHI, Skirt - ABOCS, Bag - Charles&Keith)

Spring Summer season doesn't mean that you can't wear your usual black outfit. I was more than thrilled when I saw this printed fabric lying on the floor in the fabric store.. and luckily just enough to make a maxi skirt, and so that's what I turned it into. The abstract print reminds me of my college days where copic markers is an essential, the strokes, the gradation, the artsy days! The colors are vivid but soothing since the colors harmoniously works when mixed together. Speaking of S/S season... What is your number 1 go-to hairstyle during this hot season? For me (as you can probably tell by now) is ponytail, because it seemly suits my long and straight hair. Keeping my hair sleek and simple is my top most important beauty tips I must say, as it gives more room for your outfit to shine, and plus you can dump more accessories here and there too.

Darkest To Light

(Top - Blooming, Skirt - ZARA, Heels - ALDO, Bag - Louis Vuitton, Bracelets - D'Fin)

I may not eat chocolate, but I love brown color! But it is a tricky color to mix and match with, my tip will be to keep it under one color palette but in different shades. Fortunately I found this perfect gradation brown top, love how each layer indicates a different shade. And ofcourse, as per usual, the color black has to appear in every outfit I wear, no matter how small it may be! In this case, for a slimming effect (since the top is boxy cut, and the skirt is flared) I evened out the proportions by adding black panels. As seen through previous runway trends, I believe that tight-fit is no longer in, it's time to breathe in our straight and boxy cut pieces. But for those of you who are not petite (in between medium and large sized) like me, make sure to always watch the volume as we don't want to visually look bigger as we wear loose clothes, I say... Pitch in some black variations!
